Always falling back on his strong imagination though, he was able to create a strong voice for himself that would be crafted over the course of numerous novels to come. Studying English literature, along with a multitude of other subjects he gained his qualifications in these particular subjects by the age of nineteen, which then provided him with the basis for his writing career. His own experiences would also lend themselves well to him, as he managed to build upon what he saw around him, as he was a keen observer of human nature.Īcademically gifted in equal measure, he’d quickly apply himself to higher education, all whilst selling his first piece to a newspaper at the young age of seventeen, thus cementing his credentials as a writer early on.
Taking in a variety of different genres, he was constantly on the lookout for new ideas and new ways of telling a story, something which he would then feed back into his work.
Growing up in America he was always consuming masses of media, as he was a voracious reader from a very early age, something which served him well when undertaking his passion for writing as well. Using a very clear visual style, it’s easy to see where his inspirations lie, as he has taken his love of comic books, Saturday morning cartoons and Star Wars, and turned them into something all of his own. With a number of books behind him, he’s also extremely adept at weaving a mystery, with his keen sense of both narrative and character, as the two play off one another, something he’s managed to do with the greatest of ease. The American author Peter Clines has been writing for some years now, having produced a number of books in both the science-fiction and horror genres, as he’s at the forefront of his field and a master of his craft.
